Cal Couples in Hawaii!

My husband and I and three other couples traveled to Hawaii for the second and third weeks of August. We had a ball! Denise recommended staying one week on Maui and six nights on Oahu. This was the perfect combination for us.
We stayed in Kapalua and got to unwind from being on the MAINLAND. The pace there is ideal. The men play golf and the ladies go to the beach and out to lunch. The home was gorgeous and with four bedroom suites, we could not have asked for anything better. One of the couples had not rented a house before. I believe they have converted. We did have access to the Ritz. We went there a couple of times for cocktails, but really did not miss the pool scene. The atmosphere at the house was just amazing!
On Oahu, we stayed in the Diamond Head area. Our thought was we could still have the feel of Hawaii but a little faster pace, which it was. We took surfing lessons and did some cheesy touristy stuff like the Aquarium.
I don't know what it is about Hawaii, but it is truly one of the most incredible places in the world. Our trip was seamless. Every time we had a question or needed concierge, Hawaii Hideaways was there. The homes were amazing. I am torn between wanting to stay at the same homes again or trying something new. Either which way, we'll be back. Thanks Hawaii Hideaways! You're the best. Vic
